2024 Poster Contest Theme is; "May The Forest Be With You Always "

SWCD 2024 County Conservation Poster Contest Winners

​Students from all five Highland County Middle Schools were given an opportunity to design a poster with the theme “May the Forest be with you Always" The posters were created on paper grocery bags donated by Hillsboro Kroger. The top three poster winners from each school received a gift donated by the Highland Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD).  Each of the top school posters were then judged for the overall top five county poster winners, which received cash awards sponsored by the Highland County Farm Bureau at the 2024 Annual Meeting held on October 10, 2024. 
>The 2024 County Conservation Poster contest winners are (L-R) SWCD Board Member Chris Cox, standing in for fifth place winner, Joel Mortensen from Hillsboro, second place, Aiden Johnson from Bright Local, third place, Callan Swan from Greenfield, first place, Sophia Warne from Lynchburg-Clay, Resource Specialist Nathan Burns, standing in for fourth place winner Brenna Binegar from Fairfield.  Congratulations to all of the participants for another outstanding contest.
